Have you tried your manufacturer's website to see if they have basting stitches available as a download? Mine does :wink:

Which Pfaff do you have? I have an old 1471 that has been wonderful and I love it BUT... I'd like to have better embroidery options. |

I use WSS (wash away) on the back. Spray it with a little 505 and use WSS on top with a basting stitch. Turns out beautiful.
No need to hoop the towel, just the stabilizer is all. Here's how it looks after it is washed. I used the same method on these burp clothes. |
