As everybody already knows I got a Bailey 17" with the Majestic frame to which we all in the house refer to as a Behemuth. Finally the day came to put it all together. Well there isn't a room in the house that can accomOdate 128x46 frame pluse the space behind and in front for me, and I am not a small woman, without major disruption of our daily lives. So now, I am taking a break from completely reorganizing my basement, which involves moving my sewing room and my husband's work area to make space for the new member of out artsy and craftsy family. So, before you plunge into buying a frame do yourself a favor a measure you house. So it is going to be another few days before I work on my Bailey. Not to mention that I currently no longer have a sewing room or know where anything is. What a lovely mess we got ourselves into.

Yikes! Not fun.

I've already measured with my eye-balls and I know I don't want to give up the space a long arm requires. At least not a good size and I don't see any point in getting anything less than a 10'. Good luck with your squeeze!

Yep, they really take a lot of room. I have a 12 X 16 heated porch. My 10' frame takes up most of it. The actual footprint is bad enough, but you need room around it, especially if you want to do pantos.

Ooooo...how frustrating! And at this time of year finding places to put the stuff you have to move to put the other stuff in new places so that you can put the new thing in the (formerly occupied) space is hard, because it is cold and potentially wet outside.

About to have our master bedroom redone, so I have a similar situation and great sympathy!

Had a giggle at the "we got ourselves into"

I had a long arm table for my regular sewing machine and had no place to set it up, so I sold it. They are very large and take up quite a bit of space. I feel for you having to rearrange everything to fit it. Once it's all done, you'll be a happy camper!!!

I took out my kitchen table to make room for my 10' frame in the kitchen. My late husband offered to take the sofa out of the livingroom to make room. :thumbup:
