I just got my 301A longbed today and I'm already in love with her. I had to pay big bucks for this one on ebay but she's worth it. I'm not buying anymore machines until I find a good deal but you can bet I'll be looking.

my son found a Singer 301a at a Pawn shoppe. It is my birthday and Mother's day gift. I am really excited. Finishing up on some handwork and excited to get started with my new found treasure.

Aren't they beautiful! I just got a 2-tone short-bed 301A. She too is a beauty and oh my goodness, can she sew! Congratulations. I'm going to "hook" mine up to my Flynn frame for free motion quilting--so I don't tie up my Singer Confidence Quilter. Before with only the one machine, I would have to "hurry" through the quilting so I could work on something else! I am getting so addicted to these vintage machines!
