Irene, do NOT use a metallic on fabric going into the microwave. Really risky. I've made several too, and love to use them. Did not know there's a special batting for it, as I was just using regular all cotton. Sold a few, but am afraid of being held responsible if someone has a burn or something, even if they do it wrong.

I drafted this pattern and made mine with warm and natural inside...I have put them in the microwave a few times and no problem, but microwaves vary,,,I usually just slide the hot bowl out into them and use it ,,and they are good for ice cream too,,

I have given some as gifts...and they really work...
Riversong, Don't use the regular Warm and Natural...the scrim on the cotton batting can be a problem...you don't need the problems, friend. You must use the WarmTater by warm and natural. |
I've been making these for my craft shows as well, and they are such a breeze to make! I cut everyone out in one sitting and sew them up in another. I was told to use the tater batting so that's what I use. I made some for myself and haven't caught anything on fire yet :D
