I wouldn't purchase a machine with the requirement of have to take a couple of classes before getting machine. Not everyone is able to do that. When I purchased my Handi Quilter Avante, my rep came to my house, set it up, and give me a 1/2 day of lessons, which was plenty for me to begin using the machine. There is so little maintance with Handi Quilters there is no need for extended classes in their care. My main reason for purchasing the Handi Quilter was because they came to set up, gave lessons, and are always available to answer any question I may have. I had one problem with the lights on the machine, and Handi Quilter wasted no time in righting the problem. I want service and that is what I get with Handi Quilter.

I have the HQ. Granted it is the 16 and was used. But I was able to affordably upgrade to the ProStitcher. The reps here gave me free instructions. I also attended Quilt Camp http:www.quiltcamp.com where i took HQ classes as well as other quilt classes.

HQ has wonderful support, free videos, and are available by phone to walk you through any questions or problems.

If I got another machine it would have to have the computerized portion. The PS includes a QuiltCAD program which is wonderful.

Well I have some news that could help. There is a new Gammill Dealer in Burlington NJ! We will be very happy to help you purchase the worlds finest quilting machine. We hope you choose the Gammill, as we did. We were Gammill customers for 5 years before becoming a dealer in December.

Have you tried a Nolting? The Fun Quilter is an awesome machine and the price is great too.

Here is a link to Gammill's Vision instructional videos. A helpful resource for those who have, or are considering a Gammill!
