I am amazed at the great creators and designers we have on this site so since I am NOT, I am coming to you for help.
Want to make a quilt using pieces of tan and green camouflage fabric from our warriors pants. My DIL's brother requested me to make his pants into shorts and thus, left many pieces of fabric not used. GREAT Fabric! So, I do not want to toss them and feel there must be a design out there somewhere. Ebay has a quilt # 370511239149 but I cannot print out the picture. But this is similar to what I would like ideas about. Any help would be appreciated!!! Thank you. |
I wasn't impressed with the ebay one. Too military if that makes any sense. If you want a picture, click on the picture - may take twice until it isolates the image and is larger, then right click on the new picture. Choose 'print picture' from the drop down box that appears.
I'd go look for some coordinating tans and greens - maybe blenders, then make something like big pinwheels. Pinwheels set on point give a quilt motion. Try to visualize this in camo. http://wendyshat.blogspot.com/2011/0...lt-sewing.html Something done with flying geese comes to mind, too. BTW, if you have a scrap of green camouflage, I'd be willing to trade. I am making my son a birthday quilt with facets of his life. He wore plenty of camo in his eight years in the Marine Corps. Here's a simple one I did that wouldn't be as bright in cammie, but it would work. http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-119694-1.htm |

Here's what I did with my son's replaced uniforms. I made one for his son and one for his daughter.
