I have been asked to make a military quilt. i was told he wanted marine print and the blue gray camo i was able to find that and some othe material to use. i found the marine panels to use i have 8 panels. right now my mind is not working could anyone give me some ideas to do in between the panels. was thinking of doing nine patches i want to do this right. i have figured out the other small marine print i got will be binding

Here is one I did for my DH. He was in Army and Marines, so I used both panels.

There was a nice one that had both the panels and the small print fabric at this link:

Floating stars are very nice and forgiving. You could incorporate something about tour dgs from TX add a large star for lone star. Interested in flying...maybe some flying geese. When my son went into the Air Force I added many quotations that were encouragements. To me this is a personal quilt that other Marines will see. sempre fi (I am sure I. Have misspelled that would be good words to include.
