mini 10 minute table runner
Hi! Does anyone know what size to cut the 2 fat quarters to make the mini or 5 minute table runners?
Thanks for your help! |
I have the ten minute table runner pattern. Don't know about a 5 minute one.
|
Thanks Onebyone. I think I figured it out. It uses 2 fat quarters and you cut the pieces 6 x 22 and 9 x 22. You sew it just like the regular 10 minute runner. It makes a small one, really cute! Not so much for a table, but maybe on the toilet tank.
|
Hope you post a photo of this mini quilt, I would enjoy seeing it.
|
The ones I make are 9 inches for background and 4 1/2 inches for inset. You can do this with the width of fabric and cut in half and have 2 mini tablerunners, which I call "tankies" because they fit perfectly on the toilet tank.

I like making the ten minute table runners. I have increased the sizes and made some longer and wider.
|
I think I might try this to make a small blanket for my cat…Thanks for supplying the smaller sized option!
|
I like it!!! I will try some next weekend.

What a great idea - never thought of doing them smaller but have done them larger.
Thanks for posting! |
I have heard of the 10 minute table runner but have never made one. I could really use a tank cover - would anyone be willing to share directions? TIA

I put a pen on the mini's to help give perspective.

These smaller ones are so cute! Thanks, marybs for showing us the pictures. I've just got to make some of these!

Those are very cute, marybs! I don't particularly like the big ones. I made one & couldn't wait to unload it. But the little ones -- very cute! I will have to make one for the toilet tank!

never heard of a 5 minute table runner but I like the idea. I've made the 10 minute version many times and many sizes but never small like that. I'll have to try it.

Here are a few tricks, for dealing with slow videos: 1) Skip over long, rambling introductions by moving your mouse cursor over the slider near the bottom to find the first part of the video where the person appears to be actually doing something and clicking on that point. 2) Increase the playback speed, by clicking on the Settings control (it looks like a gear wheel) and selecting a faster playback speed. (I find that 1.5 gets things really moving along while still being understandable.) 3) When a video seems to be bogged down on something, move the mouse cursor over the slider to find the next section of video where it has moved on to something else, and then click on that point. Using these tricks, I was able to get what I wanted to know out of the video in less than a minute, rather than slogging through the full length of it. These tricks make how-to videos much nicer for me to use. |
