Mini Bow Tuck tote question HELP

I am on the step where I need to sew the lining and the front of the bag together...the directions say to turn the line to the right side and put inside front bag...right sides together...so i did this but then when i turned the bag through the hole in the lining...and try to put it together my pockets in the lining are upside down...so i am not sure what i am doing wrong here. Any Help would be great!! Maybe i am getting the right sides together part wrong...like right side fabric or right side with the fleece on...or maybe the outer/front should be inside the lining. I don't know I am confused and I hope I didn't just confuse you too. Thanks.

Could you post a few pictures? It's hard to understand without seeing it? It sounds like you maybe just sewed the pockets on upside down on the lining piece but without seeing it, I just can't tell.

Make sure that the small section under the pockets are on the bottom where you have left the opening. Another suggestion if you are making more is to not cut a slit in the bottom, but on one of the sides that you sew and cut off don't sew one side and you can pull the bag thru that and have you don't have a seam in the bottom of the bag. It is a little harder to pull the bag thru, but makes it look neater. I hope I am not confusing you.

I just finished 2 bow tuck bags. If your pockets are upside down, you may have left the wrong end of the bag open. Leave top open and 8 inch opening at bottom. Did you attach the pocket in the right direction on the lining piece?

I'm not sure if anything from this tutorial can help?
