I'm using them to make a mini Dresden plate quilt by Eleanor Burns as a wall hanging. Great variety for little money.

If by mini charms, you mean the 2.5 inch ones some of us on the board are a bit obsessed with them. There is an ongoing swap of these things and there have been many quilts made with them. I have done one called "Chiclets" with them. http://www.brandysquiltpatterns.com/ChicletsFree.pdf And one called "Katie's quilt" from the MSQC tutorials with them. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jpjl9O0nJ0A

Moda makes them and they are 2 1/2 inches square, aren't they? I have seen them at the LQS.

You are correct! My LQS had them and said they weren't going to carry them anymore because nobody wanted them! For the price (3.50-4.50) , it would be cheaper to buy a charm pack and cut it into fourths and then you would have 4 mini charm packs
