Mini-irons?

HI again, It's me, Tropical. I recently posted about my health issues since my strokes. I loved reading all of your kind and helpful responses. I have decided to start quilting again. I do have a question about mini-irons which I believe I would be able to use more safely than a full sized iron. Do any of you use one and if you do, where did you get it? I have searched the Internet for one, but can't locate one that looks like a full sized iron. Please help, if you can.
Oh, I just remembered, I have another question. Does anyone use the Fons and Porter glove for safely using a rotary cutter. If so, would you recommend one? I want my DDIL to be safe when she helps me with cutting my fabric.
Thank you in advance for any and all assistance. :)

I got a little one from Target. Ordered it and had it sent to me via mail. Love it, its little, plenty hot and has steam (which I like). $22 instead of those fancy $49 ones.
It's call Steam Fast Travel Iron.

I have the Steam Fast and bought the Clover Wedge. I use the Clover Wedge the most, it's bigger and easier to hold on to as it has a handle. The Steam Fast is like holding a knob.

The Steam-Fast is my delight, too. I ordered mine from Craftsy but they are available at several other stores. It is not "full-sized" but I do all my ironing with it.

Missouri Star and QIAD have the Wedge iron for half price or more every now and then.

I got a light weight full size iron at the discount dollar store for $10.00. Proctor Silex. If you don't like the Fons and Porter glove try a sporting goods store and check their fileting gloves. About the same price. I got 4 2 for the kitchen (DH and me) and 2 for the sewing room, also for dh and me.

I use the glove for cutting away from home but at home I use the Quilter's Slidelock. No one uses a rotary cutter in my house without a safety tool, especially me, every cut. To me it's like being in a moving vehicle with no seat belt. Why take the chance.

ordered mine from Amazon.com and love it! gets very, very hot if desired but does allow for lower heat settings.
