A tip for those mini Clover irons is to put an office binding clip on the barrel and use the clip as a foot to hold it steady.

Good idea!
My friend had some kind of device that she had bought for it. But I figure that just brings the cost up even more, it's kinda pricey as it is.
I'll go for the binding clip.
Thanks.

You're welcome........I also think that the clip helps for you to avoid grabbing the long hot rod just before the handle, avoiding bad burns.

I use the sealing iron. Have worn one out and on the second. Didn't know the name was Hobbico. I have the Clover and it stays in the drawer.

Have one and I hate it. too small. I like the travel size iron better. I have a black & decker travel size iron and it is wonderful!

I may have already said this but,the clover is great for small blocks like the Dear Jane but I prefer the little travel iron for larger blocks.

Me too. Love my small travel iron. I have had the Rowenta for years and use it a lot.

I think the Clover Mini Iron is great for applique and paper piecing; but not big enough for a quilter's needs. I prefer a travel iron for that purpose. I have both.

I love love love my mini Iron... I went to a retreat and bought it before I left because I was doing foundation piecing and I didn't want to have to get up and Iron after every little piece. It worked fantastic!
