A tip for those mini Clover irons is to put an office binding clip on the barrel and use the clip as a foot to hold it steady.

My friend had some kind of device that she had bought for it. But I figure that just brings the cost up even more, it's kinda pricey as it is. I'll go for the binding clip. Thanks. 8-) |
You're welcome........I also think that the clip helps for you to avoid grabbing the long hot rod just before the handle, avoiding bad burns.

several years ago i bought one for myself& 2 for gifts. none of us had ever tried it.was having problems pressing open seams,so decided to give it a whirl..........works great !!hate to think of all the time i wasd w/o it !

I use the sealing iron. Have worn one out and on the second. Didn't know the name was Hobbico. I have the Clover and it stays in the drawer.

Have one and I hate it. too small. I like the travel size iron better. I have a black & decker travel size iron and it is wonderful!

I may have already said this but,the clover is great for small blocks like the Dear Jane but I prefer the little travel iron for larger blocks.
