Please help. I have been asked to make a quilt for the maid's room of a dolls house. Does anybody have any ideas of a design that would suit a 5" x 3" quilt?

The smallest I made was about that size, and I fussy-cut a print fabric for the centre. The borders were a small check fabric. Overall, it looked like an appliqué surrounded by patchwork squares.
