If you have a walking foot, that makes a HUGE difference. Pin a lot and glue when you can.

Thanks for all the advice, and the chuckles. Loved the quilt photo - that is cute! In the meantime, I will keep working until I tame the "monkeys" or run out of minky.

I made a baby quilt for my daughter to give to her best friend at her shower. I was at a LQS and picked out minkee for the back. I changed my mind because the clerk said it didn't wear well. I never heard of that. Should she really be telling customers that if they are selling it? I don't think the owner would appreciate it. Has anyone had a problem like this with minkee?

I use minky to back weighted therapy quilts. I spray baste the minky to a cotton batiste layer to stabilize it, then proceed normally. I straight-line quilt it and have had no problems.
