Trying to figure out how to make a wall hanging with the same on the front as the back. Do I reverse the fabric for the back side in order for it to look the same on both sides? Any ideas? Thanks.

I think I would make a mirror image of the pattern, but I guess just cutting the back of the fabric instead of the front would work too :)

If you are going to quilt the design on the front, then yes reverse the design on the back so the quilting will go in the right places.

What kind of pattern are you doing? If it's something simple like squares, I would just reverse the layout.
If it's something like applique/something with a template, you could use the back side of the template which will give you a backwards piece... Can we see a picture of the pattern? |

AHHH!!!! That is incredible! My kind of quilt! I love to use patterns for things they are not intended for. In this case you will need to reverse the pattern. It is so sensitive that I would attach the pieces at the same time (Front and back) Are you planning to use sticky bias for the black? You will also have some wonderful Y seams to deal with. Please keep us posted. I really want to see your progress.

I'll have to work it out I guess. I have enlarged it on a copier to be a bit bigger. I am going to hang it from invisible thread probably in the corner of the archway from the hall to the living room. I may also hang it outside in our house in Nevada from the pergola on the patio. I'll try the mirror image option on the printer.
