I attached this picture to the missing quilt link I posted but wanted to repost it here.
This is the center medallion part. Sorry I forgot to mention it.
I hope your quilt finds its way back home. If enough folks know you miss it, maybe the ones who have it will find a way to return it. Good luck!
I hope you find it. I read your post how it disappered after you had a houseful of people. I can't imagine a guest in my home leaving with one of my quilts. While I like to give people the benefit of the doubt I can't see how a quilt could be "accidently" taken. How violated and betrayed you must feel not to mention the anguish of losing this teasure.
Is this quilt missing?
I'm very sorry your quilt is missing. I hope it reappears.
post a picture everywhere. many forums and of course on missingquilts. good luck. maybe some of your family members will cough it up yet. or at least tell you what happened to it.
I would send out a card with photo to ALL house guests and make clear you're not accusing anyone in particular, but note that someone must have picked it up by accident and to please "look" for it.

Can you tell us more information about the quilt?
How large is it? Does it have any identifying labels? What does the rest of the quilt look like, other than the center medallion? From where did it disappear? (quilt show? your car? City? state?) How long has it been missing? This information might help us look for it better. |
It is beautiful. I am so sorry that it is "missing". It amazes me how anyone could just up and take it without regret.

If you know all the people that were in your home, pay them an unannounced visit or have others visit their homes and start snooping. The person that took it must know the quilt will be seen at some point unless they knew it would never be seen again. I would post flyers of the quilt all over town.

I am so sorry to hear that this beautiful quilt has gone missing :(
The quilt was in my home as I had it on our bed for a few days between Thanksgiving and when I wanted to put it back on the bed at my husband's passing....it was gone. Yes, I feel like I was betrayed as it was my husband's favorite quilt , after the warm flannel ones. I would never imagine that a visitor in my home could have taken it. I cross stitched the center and then had it beautifully machine quilted. Even the person that quilted it is upset for me. She is in another state and she has done a lot of quilts for me.

The quilt fit on my queen size bed. I had my label on it with my name which I am sure could have been removed but I also identify my quilts elsewhere. That is just the center medallion and I have a search going on my crashed computer as I'm sure there was a picture of the full quilt on there. He is very busy right now but will call him back today.
