They bought that ad before they discontinued the S a S due to production issues. I am sure that the Warm Company misses their product but until they can figure out how to remedy te situation, they are no longer producing the line. The contracted vendor who produced S a S went out of business last spring and that is why the issues.
Pellon has a "lite" version of their fusible. I have some and I need to try it out. Heat N Bond is decent. sandy |
I, too have tried the Pellon Lite that I got at JoAnn's and it was a horrible mess. I tried to use a buttonhole stitch around some applique and had to clean the sticky off my needle after about every inch or two. I'm done with it.

It is NOT new and improved. The paper side is shiny and you can't trace on it. I miss my steam a seam lite.

Sorry you are missing your SOS, I never cared for the two papers and have been using heat & bond light with good results....you are correct about Joanns, they cleared out all their heat & bond on the bolt and replaced it with Pellon....which in indelicate words is a POS. Threw it out. They have Heat & Bond in small packages at JOanns, but I buy it on the bolt at Walmart.

If you search on the internet, a few places still have SOS lite. I found some at Fabricdepot.com. Good luck!

I just bought some at fabric.com. Amazon also carries it but it is the SAS 2
|
I saw packages of it at Tuesday Morning just yesterday.

had a friend that attended an applique class at the Quilt Museum in Paducah - one lady had the new steam a seam and spent half the class time trying to "un-gum" her machine - instructor suggested a new product call Sofr Fuse and she loved it! http://www.shadessoftfuse.com/
