Missouri Quilt Co

When I went to the website today, I read this message:

"It is with great regret that I announce that the Missouri Star Quilt Company, beginning April 15th, will no longer be selling quilting supplies. The Missouri Star Quilt Company will be known from then on as the Missouri Star As-Seen-On-TV Company. Instead of selling pre-cuts, yardage, kits and notions we have decided to transition into products that provide more instant gratification."

Now I am crying ... one more dependable site biting the dust. I just bragged a few days ago what a great company they are/were. I hate progress!

Any chance it's an April Fool's joke? - Or that your message was, lol?

Okay, found it - under the daily deal. And if you keep reading, it is, indeed, an April Fool's joke. Phew.

Seriously, you didn't really think that was TRUE, did you? It sounds so ridiculous the way it was worded, you had to have known, right?

MaryMo, I am sure you are not the only one to not read the whole thing. That is risky for a business to do that. Sign up for their email.

and when I got to the bottom of the page I read:

"APRIL FOOLS! Okay, okay, so I'm sure that 99% of you knew that I was just kiddin' around, but for the 1% of you who didn't, I got you good! Sham Wows instead of quilting ... HA! In your dreams!"

yes, I am part of the 1% this time! ... how could I forget it was April Fools' Day! UGH!!!! :o

I agree, very risky for any business to be displaying notices of that kind, even as a joke =\
