I have just finished a quilt see Mistral Horse by Toni Whitney posted by Carol Wilson.
It is a great product for applique does not make your applique stiff, when Mistyfuse is applied the fabric remains the same, and making the "Quilt Sandwich", putting together a top, batting and backing using Mistyfuse is great, you cut small squares around 2 inches then iron them on to the top and backing around 4 to 5 inches apart (you do need a Teflon Mat for this) saves spraying, pinning and hand basting, there is a tutorial for this too.

There is a tutorial "Basting Large Quilts Using Mistyfuse", I cannot get Mistyfuse in Australia so I have to buy it from the US but because it is soooo light the postage is not expensive, as I said in my previous post it is a great product.

The quilters I talked to said they layer the whole quilt top back with Misty Fuse before putting it on the longarm. I guess it keeps the fabric from stretching in any direction.
