Mitered Corners

I can miter my quilt corners pretty good. However, I know we are supposed to tack the corner down and that's what I am stuck on. How do you tack yours' down? And still look decent. TIA

Elmer’s glue, usually. Have also used a see-through tape that will come off after I’ve sewn it. I used to use straight pins, but Elmer’s glue is easier.

If i sew the binding onto the back by hand, i sew the folded miter. slipping stitches in. if i do it by machine, I usually catch the corners well with stitching in the ditch from front.

I use the ladder stitch to tack the corners on my binding down.

When I hand stitch the binding to the back of my quilt, I use the invisible ladder stitch to tack the back binding edge closed. I pass the needle at the corner tip through to the front and invisible ladder stitch it closed, I then pass the needle through the quilt to the back coming out right at the inside corner of the binding. I put a knot in my thread ( to prevent any of the corner stitching from moving) and then continue on hand sewing the binding on the next side.

Me too. I hand stitch with very tiny stitches & tie off as needed.

I don't tack mine down and noble of the recipients have complained. ;)

I didn’t know you were supposed to do that!
