Thanks for giving your opinions, and I will absolutely soak the blocks numerous times.

In looking at some of the fabrics, I'm really wondering about their age. They must be a mix of different eras, from the look of it. Heck, the whole bunch could be newer, who knows? So, if any of you recognize fabrics in the photos, sing out! You definitely won't hurt my feelings by telling me they're from the 70s or newer. lol It's certainly possible the ebay listing was misrepresented, but either way, I like the blocks and will do something with them. :)

I wouldn't think that it would make a different with mixing vintage and reproductions. Reproduction designs comes from vintage fabrics. I have had a few vintage fabrics and I have mixed the with reproductions. Never had a problem.

You know, I have a new shoulder, a new hip, two new eyes without cataracts, and a second new shoulder to come soon....all in my 1940s vintage body, and nobody can tell me I'm less than I was before for having them! I still want to live the best life I can for as long as I can.......and I'd venture your quilt blocks do, too. Give them all the new parts they need and both of you will be happy!! :)

I'm with Jan. Find some fabric that looks happy with the other blocks and make a quilt. I'm sure the original quilter wouldn't want her blocks tossed in a drawer again until the perfect vintage fabric appears.

Wow, you've convinced me! :) If I need to, I'll add reproduction fabrics, which I love. I just love this board! Everyone is always so helpful! I kind of knew in my heart that I wasn't being logical on this! lol
