I know from experience that the flannels will shrink, so PLEASE make sure you prewash so you will have a beautiful quilt and not be disappointed.

I used flannel in a baby quilt and was very glad I prewashed it. I couldn't believe how much it shrinks.

[quote=Gennynut]Hi
I guess Iam settling. The plaids I was looking for would be dark to med. Gold, green, browns, navy, burgundy, red, oranges

Go to www.quiltshops.com. Click on Item Search, type "plaid" in the first box and "flannel" in the second box, then click on Thumbnails. There are over 100 pages available to look through. You may have better luck looking for one color at a time, e.g., "green plaid". Keep in mind that you'll be looking at 230 shops and will need to order from each shop individually. I've never had a problem with any of the shops.

You can also try www.fabric.com and type "plaid" in the search box. You'll need to sort through the flannels and shirtings to find the ones you want.

I have a bunch of plaids left over from a quilt. You can certainly have some of them. PM me if interested.
