DJ, I have been in Alaska for almost 10 years and Homer for three years. Do come visit when you get the chance, I consider myself sooo lucky to live here. It is so beautiful sometimes it almost hurts your eyes to look at it!

My husband is from AK and I have friends who live in Ninilchik, and DH used to live there when when was in first grade. :) His family now lives farther up in the Matanuska valley area.

Home feels like it's at the end of the world! Enjoy. I remember eating lobster at a church "dinner on the grounds" once.

I thought, "only in Alaska" would this happen.
