Monochromatic quilt patterns?

So I've been thinking of doing a monochromatic quilt, but I don't know what kind of pattern would be good for this. I'm thinking of purple or pink and would use lots of different fabrics, many shades. I don't think bargello would work for what I'm thinking because the colors wouldn't exactly flow with the color gradient genrally desired in a bargello. Like I'd use purply pinks, and redish pinks, or bluish purples and redish purples etc. So I just don't think bargello is right for what I'm thinking, but does anyone know where I could look at some pictures of monochromatic quilts, or have any suggestions for monochrom patterns?

I would look at pinterest or just do an internet search for low volume quilts - might be some good ideas there

How about the classic timeless Churn Dash? Would look great in various shades of purples and pinks.

Or what about

I would look at 2 color quilts. Make one color a neutral fabric (or the lightest shade of your color scheme) and use that same fabric for the entire quilt to unify it. Then mix all your other fabrics for the other 'color'

Rail fence works well in monochromatic. I've done one.

I don't understand what monochromatic is. I was thinking more of a gray and black or black and white.
