My daughter sent me a huge box of linen and things that she got when she bought the contents of a house that had been in the same family for many generations. I can't begin to figure out how I am going to use most of it. Many of the items are too fragile to do any thing with. The backs of these pillows? have all but rotted of and I wonder if I should try to sew new ones on or?
Thank you in advance for any cyou can give me. Regarding my last post, I have decided thanks to your advise to try and save the quilt - after Christmas. Bj There is one more of these that did not make it into the picture A few of the little silvery things are missing |
Can you put a stabilizer behind them. You can make anything from them. Put them in quilts, make wall hangings, pillows, or place mats.

Those would look great framed behind glass.

I think they are gorgeous and should be put behind glass.

Unusually pretty fabrics.

I think that you should contact your local museum. They may be interested in some of these items especially if they are from a family who has lived in the area for many years. Even if you didn't donate the items, they could tell you how to preserve them.

These beauties look like hand embroidery from India. My sewing pal showed us hers today.
