Just love this quilt !! I gotta say. Love the reds and gold. Love that soft red. Great blocks. Maybe I should look at Bonnie Hunters patterns.

It looks very pretty the way you have it up on your design wall. Love how you broke up the red blocks with the gold stars. That really adds a great change in a beautiful way.

In that picture, they are all just pinned to the wall. I have begun to sew them and I have run into two blocks that must have not been trimmed correctly. More ripping.
You will admire it that much more when it is finally done! |
Wow....love this quilt!!! It is amazing how quickly one can get turned around!!!

Marcia, that's a stunner, wow!
I don't see a thing wrong with your placement. |

Here is the completed top with small area upper right to fix yet. One dark red border, might be too dark. Then what??? I have 70 quarter square triangles I can use.

Absolutely beautiful, Battle Axe! I can't help with borders, but it sure is great so far.

Perfection! What a glorious quilt.

I love the way the top came together, with the reds and golds. Personally I like the dark red border because I like the "weight" of it (I'm sure there is a proper technical quilting term..:)). As far as what to do next, I wonder what it would look like if you put a line of the QST's?

I have 70 quarter sq. triangles ready and waiting, sort of scrappy, rather random. That I had made for the center squares and then opted for some fabric in the center. I'm not that scrappy of a person. I put about 24 inches together and pinned it up. Looked clownish. The pattern calls for peaky and spikey triangles just like the rabbit ears or star points. I'm not sold on anything yet.
