I tried to answer you but once again it wouldn't accept my post.
Okay then, I used to live there when there was NOTHING in Pigeon Forge. However, it's HUGE now. Dollywood is a great place with lots of rides, shows, places to eat, places to relax, places to shop. There's all the usual touristy things like miniature golf, Ripleys, etc. Cherokee (a short distance past Gatlinburg) has a great Cherokee museum. It just depends on what you like to do. |

I am thinking about going this year too. I am trying to talk my husband into this trip and seeing some shows at night. I haven't found anyone that knows about it to give me advice. Maybe someone will respond that has been to the show to decide if it is worthwhile.

I am going too! My husband and I went a few years ago, it was great!

Oh, I would love to go. We went to Dollywood and all in that area several years back and had a great time. Its a beautiful area.

It really depends on what you're into! There's something for everyone there. My husband and I go to Sevierville about once a month and hit all the antique stores. There is an outlet mall that people come from all around to shop at. There are lots of attractions like The Aquarium and Haunted Houses and Wax Museum-type things. We splurge on pizza when we are there (it ends up costing about $50 by the time we pay for parking and all!) at a place that I think is called Best Italian. There aren't as many shows now as there were in the past (lots of giant buildings for sale!) but you'll find plenty to do when you're here!
I'm about 20 minutes away, if you feel like PM'ing. I may go to the quilt show anyway but will probably have to skip the Gatlinburg pizza! |
