Thanks to all the encouragement, me and my broken toe went to Machine Quilter's Showcase in Overland Park, Kansas yesterday. Wow, did I see some beautiful quilts! I found the quilts to be "new" to me this year. In that I mean that the last few years when I went it seemed that I was looking at the same quilts from the year before, not that they were not beautiful quilts, but I had the feeling that I had seen them all before. This year was different. My favorite one was of a small boy in bed, bedroom completely decorated for Christmas, with building blocks on the carpet which spelled out "Find things that begin with every letter in the alphabet" Talk about detail!!!! I could of looked at that quilt for hours!
By the way, I did not come up the a wheelchair, forgot to take my cane and camera, but my friends and I looked, admired, laughed, solved all the problems in the world and made a few purchases. I am soooooo glad I went! |
I'm so glad you went and had a good time.

I'm so glad that you had a good time in spite of a broken toe, no cane and no camera(shame on you, lol!!)

Thank-you so much for bringing us up to date. You wouldn't imagine how many times I have thought about you and if you would go and if you would have a good time. I am so glad you did. Yeah for you!!!!!!!

Glad you went. I was hoping you would.

Glad you went, I would like to see that quilt, too!

That's the spirit!!! Never let a few broken bones come between you and a quilt show! That toe would have hurt whether you were home sitting or at the quilt show so might as be where you want to be. You are a real trooper and we need more like you--a true Marine of a quilter. LOL
Glad you enjoyed yourself. |
So glad you had a wonderful time..was thinking about you and wondering if you went to the show.
