What is 'ultrabrite'. I did a google search, and all I got back related to the toothpaste.

Sorry, I must be spelling name wrong. It's a material that you use in pot holders., Maybe someone will come and post the correct spelling? Dummie me!

Mine have regular batting in them. I use them for hot tea and ice cold drinks. No problem.

However, use two layers of regular batting and I am sure you will be fine. :-D

I've used an old vinyl table cloth inside mine... flannel side up/plastic side down.... then cover as desired.

They lady nice and flat and the flannel absorbs any moisture and the flannel keeps it from soaking thru...

TIA.

i use plain batting.. W & N. and yes, my mug rugs are used as coasters

I have seen these mug rugs, but they just looked like coasters to me too! Call me silly, but I would never consider putting anything with butter or grease on a quilted item..lol

I used flannel, top and bottom with a baggie between the flannel. Scotchguard them real good..
