Has anyone bought muslin from Marshall Dry Goods?

They have:
45" at $1.85 yard , 90" at $4.25 yard, 108" at $4.85 yard and 120" wide at $5.55 yard.

I think the prices are great, but I am wondering about the quality?

Pat has a facebook page:

Thanks! :)

I have. I find that all I have gotten has been of good quality. I have even use some for hand dying and it has worked well, producing lovely fabric.

The thread count is 180, Is that good?

ckcowl 08-02-2011 11:39 AM

that is about the same as batik's (at 200)
alot of quilting cottons are 60 count.

If there is such a thing as fabric heaven, it is Marshall's Dry Goods. Going to be going there on the 19th with two of my quilting/sewing buddies. We spend alot of money and time, well worth the money. One of my favorite places to shop. The staff is great, too, almost like going to a comedy show on occasion.

Where are you finding muslin from MDG? I've just gone through their site and can't find any.

It sometimes is not on the website, they usually have it on the clearance page on the wholesale site.

OMG...OMG...... I don't live far from the Marshalls in Batesville, AR and let me tell you I am dangerous in that store! Hubby knows we can't go there for a quick stop by- I am always in there awhile!! ....and I always spend too much!! They are the only place I buy bleached and unbleached muslin from and price is great and I am very happy with it.

Matter of fact I am planning my next trip there in a couple of weeks.....and Hubby will be deer hunting so this could mean I come home with WAY more than I should!! HA!

Elginrunnerswife 10-25-2011 10:33 AM

Oh and Ashley I wish you were able to visit the store in person cause as others said the staff is great and absolutely the funniest. They love it when hubby and I visit and go back and forth with him.....they know us now!

jillaine 10-25-2011 11:40 AM

Can individuals purchase from the wholesale web site?

Elginrunnerswife 10-25-2011 11:56 AM

Hmmmm... I am not sure about that actually I am sure you could email/call and see. Part of the store is only for wholesellers although they will go sometimes and pull bolts out if you smile just right! :)

Sienna's GiGi 10-25-2011 12:55 PM

I was looking for muslin so I'm going to stop by this site.

Aully 10-25-2011 01:48 PM

You sure can, I always do and it's just me :)

jillaine 10-26-2011 03:46 AM

Do you (re)sell you quilts? Do you have to provide them with a seller's number or whatever it's called?

I do not sell my quilts. No seller's number. :) They need your payment info and shipping info only and of course what fabrics you wan't.

Lady Crafter 10-26-2011 07:54 AM

I've ordered from them a couple times and their quality is always good. I think I'd be dangerous if I could visit in person.
