All I have invested is gas in the car and the 30 minute drive to her. I just got home with her and took pics, searching for a serial #(which is nowhere to be found). I have searched this machine over. Can you help me figure out her approximate age?
Here she is...with no serial number to be found: The cabinet has a something on the top, but I think I can clean all or most of it off. |
A mystery.....

There should be a number stamped into the metal on the underside. Nothing there?

simanco U.S.A. 172028 these are the only numbers or letters I have found. |
The serial number should be 2 letters and then 6 or more numbers, and should be stamped into the frame below the bobbin end of the machine. If there is a cover on the bottom, remove it, and then you will find it stamped into the frame. It's there somewhere. But it's always 2 letters plus numbers for that era of machine.
What you saw was a part number, not a serial number. |
