Could you share what the difference is. I just love the ones you have posted. I'm just so scared of Log Cabins, so need easy at this time.

There is a log cabin ruler also that I heard was very good. Haven't tried it myself but I think you use it to trim the blocks after each row. My issue with LC was the strip kind of bowed when Inpressed it.

This is how I did my first Log cabin quilt. Went to quilt shop with the pattern and they helped me pick out fabric, it turned out beautifully!!!!!!
