I just got through ironing all my squares for my first flying geese pattern ad guess What. I have the light geese flying one way and the dark the opposite. I guess I am just going to piece it and let every one think that is how it goes. Wouldn't be the first time.Oh Well at least they are pretty squares you can either laugh or cry\

Just play around with the layout. It may end up being one of those mistakes that work out for the better. If you post a picture of what you're talking about, you'll probably get lots of ideas.

Guess you could name it .... flying the wrong way?? Just pretend that is the way it is suppose to go. :-)

what I have noticed over the years is no one ever notices but me! So if anyone does, just say it was a design option!

I have to get my little neighbor girl in to show me how to post my picture. I will do that after I get them all sewed together. I have to sq. them all up and then we go to Fl. for a couple of months with our RV ( small one) So I think I will put off till then, but maybe not.

I have found that what I first thought of as a mistake in the design of anything is really a chance to be creative. Some of my favorite results have started that way. So relax and try to be creative is what I tell myself.

I hear you! The very first quilt that I ever made had a border of flying geese around it......when I had it all done and compared it to the pattern, my geese must've been directionally impaired because they were all flying the wrong direction! :oops:
