Lovely surprise when I finished putting the borders on. How often does this happen! Usually its the other way around! :D

Wow, that's cutting it close.

AngeliaNR 11-05-2014 12:20 PM

For me, it is always the other way around--perhaps you should buy a lottery ticket today! :)

nativetexan 11-05-2014 12:33 PM

Once in a blue moon that happens!! But i do know what you mean.

DebraK 11-05-2014 01:59 PM

lol, lucky you ;-)

DebbieJJ 11-06-2014 02:26 AM

Yay!!! I've done this once myself (a while back).

zennia 11-06-2014 02:31 AM

Wow, your lucky day. Always the other way around for me.

moonrise 11-06-2014 03:43 AM

Lucky you!

Just yesterday I was finishing quilting a throw quilt, and when I was just 5" from being completely finished meandering, I ran out of bobbin thread. Gaaah! :hunf: I should've sewn faster! :p

Hee hee! :D

NikkiLu 11-06-2014 04:57 AM

I would LOVE to see the rest of your quilt when you are done.

Knitette 11-06-2014 05:07 AM

Hooray! I was beginning to think that it was a quilter's myth - that one day, some one would actually finish something without running out of thread 2" before the end ;)

nanna-up-north 11-06-2014 05:14 AM

How sweet is that?

Bubbie 11-06-2014 05:43 AM

Someone is on Santa's Nice List!!!

HAHAHA! Thank you for giving me a good laugh to start my day. This is always what happens to me....every time. Didn't know I just needed to sew faster! :D:D

Evie 11-06-2014 07:50 AM

Love when that happens!

tessagin 11-06-2014 08:01 AM

Another reason to have an extra bobbin on hand. That may be the answer to a question of how much thread on spool and bobbin to use on the size quilt you made? Hmmmm!!!???

One of life's little 'happy moments'.

KwiltyKahy 11-06-2014 08:46 AM

You must be living right. Happy day.

Jingle 11-06-2014 10:17 AM

I have had that happen a few times. Always a pleasant surprise.

Dina 11-06-2014 10:45 AM

The few times I have had that happen, I have thought...."Well, I planned that well." Sat there for a minute feeling good about myself and then, of course, had to realize that I had just been lucky. :) It's good to be lucky sometimes though.

But, oh what a good feeling it is. I love your picture too, butter than words!

Dina

Perfect ending!:D Can we see the entire quilt? Please!
peace

twinkie 11-06-2014 05:12 PM

You are right. It usually happens the other way around.

sewingsuz 11-06-2014 05:24 PM

Yes, i want to see the quilt.

Leslie333 11-06-2014 05:34 PM

I was thinking the same thing! Looks beautiful and so glad you had more than enough fabric, even if barely.

caspharm 11-08-2014 03:25 PM

That is great timing!

Peckish 11-09-2014 01:03 PM

Okay I can see the bobbin thread getting close at the end. Or the top thread. But BOTH top AND bobbin thread - at the same time???

Yeah, you'd better go buy a lottery ticket.

quilt addict 11-10-2014 11:24 AM

Awesome. Agree i want to see the whole quilt too.
