My DH is losing sleep over trying to figure out the best plan for a sewing table that is just right for me. called me twice from work today and talked to me about it. He always calls me on his breaks though.He has taken me shopping a few times to regular furniture stores. He has watched tutorials on how to make an easy sewing table. They won't work because I can't be around the insulation or the vinyl covering. I won't spend the money for a table from a LQS. They want way more than they are worth and they are usually too small, at least the ones we have seen. He bought me a beautiful computer desk which looks like a library desk when I was still teaching and I gave it to him when I retired. He wants to cut a hole in the top and set my Pfaff down inside the drawer. It would work beautifully. I don't want to take it back because he uses it. He will figure it out and has some more plans to try. I told him not to worry anymore because he worries about it more than I do. He will though until he gets just the right sewing table for me. I sure do Love him.

I don't blame you, he sounds so wonderful and concerned! I hope he gets it figured out soon!

instead o vinyl covering you could wax a wooden top with floor wax. Do they still make Johnson Paste wax? I remember our floors being really slick.
