Totally awesome! What a wonderful way to pay tribute to your Dad. I was a Navy wife and mom so it brings back lots of memories. Thanks for paying tribute to your special sailor.

You have to make a picture of your quilt, that is called a posterization and that shows all of the shadows and highlights and you copy that on to a transparency and from that you make a black/white line drawing showing the shadows/highlights. This is what you use as a master pattern for your portrait. I am not an artist and I would never have attempted this without taking a class. It was very rewarding to get it finished and ready to show. Thanks for you nice remarks.
