WOW,that is wonderful!!

I bought this pattern after I saw this quilt at Lolly's in Shipshewana, IN. Was it as hard as it looks? I've been afraid to attempt it. I've been taking the easy way out as far as quilting goes and have never really challenged myself. Would this be a good pattern to do that?

WOW! Beautiful job!

Are you using Star Spin Quilt by Oregon treasures?

That is absolutely beautiful. I have one that has been on my design wall for ever. After a couple of years, I took it down and tried to finish but because I'm now using a different machine, the 1/4" seams were not the same :-( . . . so the set-ins didn't fit. I'll give it another shot after I finish the alphabet books I working on now.
Did you ever have a project that just didn't want to be done? ? and fought you every step of the way? ? This is turning into one. Yours is an inspiration. Thanks |
Your's turned out great!! One of these days I'm going to try one. I love the bright colors you used. Thanks for sharing it with us. It's beautiful.

i found it fun in the beginning..making the log cabin type squares. putting it together..was another story. i ended up fixing a couple of my friends, (we all took a class together)they would not lay flat in the center. i never finished one of mine i would say, try it! look how beautiful it is! pay close attention to the instructions.. mine said to cut the strips and to sew one end, then flip the next strip and sew it on. clear as mud?! |
Beautiful quilt!!

@karenpatrick, this is a hard pattern to understand, but if you go step by step and don't get ahead of yourself it can be done, it has been very hard because I havent been a quilter very long, but i keep my seam ripper ready :)
