This is the first quilt I made. I also spend time (volunteer) at a place called Macktown, which was the first village of White people in my area Rocton/Roscoe IL. I volunteer time as I can and I love this place. Tomorow we have an "1830;s breakfast - meat pies, fried applies, scrambled eggs, cider, etc. I am going to see if someone will buy this little wall hanging. Let me see if I can send a pic of it. I couldn't get Nemo cat off of it! Last year we had 1500 people. It's a living history museum.

That is really nice what I can see around the cat. LOL. They sure always like to be center stage don't they? That is a really nice quilt too. I love visiting Living History Farms.

Even the cat has marked it w/his tail as his territory!:))Great job!! Skeat......who has never heard of areas being marked as the first white communities-very interesting...where's Loretta on this subject??:0)I bet working any living history is much fun!!

Thanks for the notes. It didnt sell. We had so many people in to eat we ran out of food, we weren't able to keep up with china (we use good china and silverware, etc.) It was an amazing day. We had 13 volunteers and I came but left early because of my broken butt (teehee). I love living history museums.

I must tell you the first year we had 150 people. Big typo error. Sorry! We had to move to a different building. I will find out this week how many we had but it was enuf people to have them wait in line, which has never happened.

Did you really? I don't think you would miss it today - soooo cold the past few days, snow, and more sleet and snow coming maybe tomorrow. Did you ever go to The Quilter's General Store when you lived here?
