So last night I took my first official quilting class. We are working from jellyrolls and spent most of the night cutting our fabric. I learned how to use a rotary cuter and rulers. I have lots to work on this week before my next class but i'm still very optimistic. I got alot of compliments on my fabric so that made me happy.
I have to finish cutting some of material and start sewing on my star points so now that i'm really into it, expect the questions to come pouring out! |
Good for you!! I love stars, so cant wait to see your quilt. We love "in progress pictures". Hint Hint!!

ooooo class is FUN.. you will learn someting new at every class that is why I am taking as MANY as I can before I move!

Enjoy your classes. In time they will open you creativity juices.
I agree, we need pics! |
I had a ton of fun at my first class :) But still need to learn soo much more. Ive never worked with jelly rolls. How do you like them? Cant wait to see pictures

I think a class sounds like fun. I'm going to see if there's room in a paper piecing class our LQS is offering next week. I think the pattern is a Mariner's Compass block. Keep us posted (with pics :) ) of your progress.

Good for you...now you'll have to share pictures because jellyrolls are my curiosity I have ever seen one in person and I have never known what to do with them but I am fascinated to learn so keep us updated as you progress along....
