My hubby built me a new ironing board today. He took two old ironing boards and joined them side by side. Then he attached a plywood top to cover both ironing boards, covered it with insulated batting and cotton fabric. It is still height adjustable. Now I have a wide , flat surface to iron the big pieces of my quilts. I love it and him!

Lucky you for the creative hubby and that he made it for you. I'm short on space since we moved to an apt., but it should really make your work much easier when ironing your fabric.
