very nice

Stitcher317 08-01-2011 03:49 AM

What did you use for the "table top" used to set your machine on. Did you cover the top in plastic so your fabric moves around easier? Neat idea....

ka9sdn 08-01-2011 03:54 AM

Glad you have your own space.

Tweety2911 08-01-2011 04:04 AM

Oh Wow! Thanks for sharing ... makes me ambitious to get in there and get mine better organized. Don't you love those see-thru boxes. That little corner just invites you to sit down and quilt! :)

What a wonderful area to have as your sewing room. You have it well organized, as well!

Normacharlie 08-01-2011 05:27 AM

Cute, when my girls were little (and I actually made clothes for them), I had a closet that had a table and a sewing machine set up. Now I have too big of a stash!

Looks very cozy and efficient. At one time when I was married, we didn't use our front door so I set up my sewing space in the small foyer. It was amazing how much sewing I got done in that little space. Enjoy yours.

hudgoddess 08-01-2011 07:47 AM

Wait! I see a couple of empty spaces in the closet! Hurry! Go shopping!
(nice corner!)

mariebaker 08-01-2011 07:50 AM

looks wonderful-there is nothing like a space of your own :-D :-D

dusty222 08-01-2011 07:52 AM

I would also love to know what you used to build up your table to fit your sewing machine. Looks like a great idea.

We used Margarita McManus' tutorial for making the table top to sit my Juki down to tabletop level. Used thick insulation from Home Depot, then covered it with thick plastic from JoAnn's Fabrics. It just took a few hours from start to finish, and I absolutely love it this way.. and it works like the Supreme Slider for moving quilts around on it.

I'll go look up MM's tute and post it for you.....
