Beautiful work. This is your creation - do whatever you like. If it were me, I would use the red as a border with a black binding. Please be sure to show us the finished creation.

How about this layout?

I finished the quilt last night . . . did the last stitch of the binding, and then gave it the once-over. Low and behold, there is a one inch section of fabric that didn't get sewn in the binding (in the front where it's machine stitched). I don't think opening the binding is an option because I don't know how I would re-sew it. Any suggestions?
