My lucky day!

I just finished quilting the last Christmas gift and here is my bobbin. At least it didn't run out before I finished.

That would make a great blown-up picture for your sewing room wall!

I love the picture!
Congratulations on getting finished. You are waaaaaay ahead of me. I have decided not to start.

Great timing.

You ARE having a lucky day...maybe you should play the lottery!

I had just the opposite. Had an oversized queen to LA for my cousin. Did the whole quilt and about 3/4 of the last border done and ran out of thread. Had to take the darned thing off because Ihave another one I need to get done this week. At least I can order the same thread, but I hate pinning the quilt back on the frame.

QuiltnNan 12-09-2012 12:17 PM

now that's great timing

This says it all. I really like the idea of a picture for the wall of this shot.

I used to laugh when I was a kid, because my mother would always say, "Ooooohhh, I've gotta hurry and finish this dress before I run out of thread." I thought that was soooo funny, because when she finished she would have about 12" of thread on the spool and about the same as you on the bobbin. I could never figure out how she did it.

The stars were definitely aligned. I agree that you should have that pic enlarged as sewing room art.

What a great idea. Your picture idea is fabulous. I always find it a lucky break to make it through a seam before a bobbin runs out.

nstitches4u 12-11-2012 09:51 AM

That is what I call precision planning! lol
