Excellent rendering!
I had this same idea but haven't gotten around to doing work "just for me" yet. I am a professional artist/art teacher working in coloured pencil...by the time I get commissions and class pieces done I barely have time to quilt...but it's been on my "someday" list for quite a while.

he has tried to sell some portraits online with no success although he has had some commission pieces. he does amazing portraits of people. i can't even imagine being able to draw like that.
