WOW!!!! I have moved into the new century!!! DH gave the OK and my new Brother 420 arrived today!!!
I've been sewing on a Singer model 900 from the 70's, but not anymore!!!!!!!!
I can't believe how awesome this machine is. So quiet I hardly hear it. I've tried many of the decorative stitches and not sure which is (are) my favorite(s).
Would you believe that I can stop with needle down or up? Automatically cut the thread and........ get this.............. it threads the needle all by itself!!!! bawhahahahah!!! Oh, and let's not forget a knee lifter! AND...Drop feed dogs, pressure regulator for the presser foot, an on/off pushbutton so I don't even have to use the foot pedal!!!! Speed control for REALLY slow to REALLY fast.
Oh my goodness...... I am in such heaven. I'll never sleep tonight.
OK - - going back to the manual now to read more. Gosh, I am so excited. And lots more to learn.
