Very clever idea! I recently used the paper towel roll hanging around my neck for a queen size quilt, and one time it turned sideways, the ribbon was all tangled up around my neck, I cracked up laughing at my own self! Bet it would have made a funny youtube video!

That sounded so funny. I pictured it in my head....made me LOL. Wish I could have seen it. tee hee

great idea. wonder if a napkin holder would work?

Very Nice. I never thought of making a holder... I just fold mine the same way, but put it in a baggie and tape the baggie to my sewing table. Much easier to handle with something holding it.

Wow. What a great idea. It sure keeps your binding from getting wrinkled.

Great idea. Thanks for sharing!

But I like having my 20 feet of binding drag all the way across the dining room and living room snagging on every piece of furniture in it's way! LOL.

I never iron my binding before attaching. Please don't send the quilting police to my house!

How clever - wish I had seen this post yesterday (before I wound a binding that was over 300 ". LOL

That's an awesome idea. I just throw mine on the floor I'm embarrassed to say... I do need to come up with something better since it can be an issue... I love your idea. I bet that a napkin holder would work as well.. I don't have a hubby who likes to use power tools... and I'm not fond of them either lol.

now how cool is that? thanks for an great idea, using on a big quilt is a pain but with this should be much easier!

I fold mine in half and wind on empty toilet tissue rolls, my son made me a dispenser with 2- 2" toy wooden wheels, a dowel rod, with a hole drilled in each end across the diameter so I can put a safety pin in each end after I put the wheels on. I put an eyeglass holder on the loop ends of the safety pin. To use, I remove the safety pin and one of the wheels, slip the roll of binding on the dowel rod, slip the second wheel on, put the pin through the hole and close the pin. and put it around my neck and no more chasing the roll all over my table or the floor. I believe there is one available for sale, but it runs around $15, so mine is a whole lot cheaper and works just as well.
