What is the digitizer Jr.? I have the Janome 6600.

Digitizer Jr. is software for Janome embroidery machines. I love using the software, even though my embroidery machine and I haven't quite hit it off.

The 6600 is not an embroidery machine and the digitizer will not work with it. It's a great quilting machine.

I searched again in the yahoo group for janome 6500/6600 and you might want to do the same. Search under foot pedal and then also possibly under controller.

You might be able to clean it out yourself. Someone said it's more likely lint would get in there if you are sewing on a carpet. Other people took more radical measures (like resoldering in the pedal, trying to avoid replacing the pedal altogether) and MANY are quite unhappy about this common problem. I wonder if you'd have better luck if you contacted Janome directly.

Another suggestion: unplug the foot pedal from the machine (so it resets). Two people actually found that kicking the pedal (hard) helped LOL.

Good luck!

How long have you had your machine. Reason being, my 3500 did that and it was my footpedal wearing out. My neighbor had the same thing happen. There is a spring in the foot pedal and it lets go after a lot of use. Hope this helps.

I have never used the foot pedal, love the knee lift! Actually, I put my pedal away, safely, & can't find it, ha ha. But I don't miss it at all.

I also love Janome machines. I have the 6600 and the Jem for classes.
I had a problem with my Jem foot - glad to know what the problem is.

I have also bought a new to me 6600....I bought it last Friday and it is amazing.....I bought a Pfaff Select 3 about four months ago so had no intention of buying a new machine but my local machine shop had it for just over $800 (£500) and it just seemed such a bargain. ( trade in from someone who had bought the Horizon)
The only thing with it was it had two small scratches from where it had been in a cabinet....but I do gather they scratch really easy so intend to get a silicone cover for the base....have touched these up and it looks like new.
It is so quiet qnd smooth...stunning machine.
