My new machine
It was delivered today at noon. Took me all day to set it up. It is going to take a lot of time to know how to use all the functions. It is awesome. Janome continental m7

Wow, wow wow! Congratulations and happy quilting.

Congratulations of the new machine. While I don't have that one in particular, I do own three Janome's and love each of them equally.
|
I'm so happy for you! It is so exciting to get a new machine! Janomes are great machines - I own 3.
|
Suz- so happy for you. Nothing like a new machine!! Have fun :)
|
Congratulations! Enjoy your new machine-it sounds wonderful. (I looked it up)

Good for you, I hope you have lots of fun getting to know your machine, if we do not hear from you we will know what you're up to, LOL

Am so happy for you! New sewing machine days do not come often.
Two years in and I'm still learning the features of my new-to-me modern Bernina. Mostly what I do is piece quilts and I may never learn how to make a buttonhole and I'm ok with that! But I did want to learn a lot of the new features and so gave myself projects to work on them, whether it was semi-silly like monogramming the hubby's bowling ball towels or trying three different ways to quilt on crib sized projects. I never liked partial seams until I had the thread cutter, makes a world of difference to me and such a little thing. |
Congratulations and have fun with the new machine!

I did not know that machines have advanced so far. My bernia I have had for 16 yrs. Time flys when your sewing and quilting. My Bernina is still running good but I saw this for sale as a first owner and I watched some videos and that was it.

Have fun with your new baby! Some machine manufacturers have workbooks that take you through all the functions of your machine...I found that really helpful with my first nice sewing machine.
I also like to make a sampler of all the special stitches. Not only is it a great reference, and a good intro to the machine menus, it makes a very pretty piece of sewing room wall art! |
I am so happy for you! I will continue my search on Marketplace until the right machine comes my way. Have fun with your new machine.
|
Love my Janome 8900! What I do to learn a new machine is make 3 x 3" samples as I go through the manual and tape them next to the directions. I may never use some of the functions, but at least I know how. Congratulations!
|
Oh, WOW! That's one awesome machine. Happy quilting.
|
Fun! Book a time slot with your local quilt store and see what they can teach you about it.

Congrats and best wishes, Please keep sharing your experiences. I also want to buy this Janome 4300QDC-B- sewing machine.

I have the Continental, bought it around a year ago. I really like it. I use the manual, or ask my daughter, as she has the exact machine. Lots of nice features. I like the drop in bobbin. I've had many Bernina's in the past.

I am so happy for you. A new machine certainly motivates a quilter. I currently own a Janome 8900 and love it. I have owned previous Janome machines and loved them too. Enjoy ☺️

Wow. This machine has some really cool functions! Enjoy. Keep us posted on how amazing it is…
|
I think we are all sharing your joy. Very happy for you! I'd rather have a new sewing machine than a new car.
