Great idea. We used those for kitchen stuff when moving, since the kitchen wasn't finished when we moved in. Now the bins are used for other things, sewing etc.

I guess I would like the "see through ones" better, but I am not moving which makes a big difference. Great idea for your situation.

what you need now is a label maker!! I got one for Christmas two years ago and is my organizational friend!!! love the drawers good idea!! the label maker can also be purchased at Walmart with refills!!

Good idea to label the drawers since you can't see what's inside.

These are rather heavy duty drawers and we are (for the first time in our lives) going to have professional movers take care of us, so I think they should go fairly well. the guy who owns the moving company is well recommended locally and is the SiL of a dear friend. I am encouraged about the whole process, even though it will be a lot of work and worry.

Very neat and tidy looking!

This was my Dh's idea. Labels, of course, are imperitive. Someone told me that packing tape rubbed into the surface will take a permanent marker but still be removable. Of course, I have put permanent labels on several drawers. (red, blue, green black, UFOs, etc.) I now have 12 of these units in 6 stacks. I need help for the top drawer of each stack, but each one comes out easily. The clear plastic ones are cheaper but not anywhere near as sturdy. They also stack. To make it even easier, the person who cleans for me went through and folded my fabric neatly into the appropriate drawers. I have one drawer for my thread cones. They are easy to reach from my chair, not exposed to light and I can see every spool at a glance.

I saw your picture of the units stacked and thought what a great idea. I have some mismatched ones that don't stack very well. Maybe I'll have to go shopping and look for different ones.
